The Digital Society in the 21st Century
The lecture series “The Digital Society in the 21st Century” was designed to examine the digital society from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Prof. Dr Jan Krämer gave a lecture on “Digital platforms and data-driven markets: do we need a new regulatory framework for the economy of the 21st century?” on 24 November 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The series “The Digital Society in the 21st Century” was continued in the summer semester. Following the lecture by Prof. Dr. Bedford-Strohm in January, we welcomed Janina Loh who gave lecture on “Philosophy of technology and the digital society in the 21st century” on Monday, 3 May 2021, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. A panel discussion ensued.
Prof. Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and Chairman of the Council of the EKD (Protestant Church in Germany), launched the lecture series with a talk on “Religion and the Digital Society in the 21st Century” on Tuesday, 26 January 2021. His lecture was concluded with a panel discussion.
