Global Data Law - Conference Series
With its three-tier conference series "Global Data Law", the Research Centre for Law and Digitalisation (FREDI) opens a platform to discuss data law and data policies with a global perspective. Global, regional, and national developments will be identified and evaluated with international experts.
The second part of the series will take place in Accra, Ghana and will spotlight the developments of Data Law in Africa. Data Law in Africa is scheduled for fall 2022. Details with regard to date, location, and program will follow in the course of 2021.
The final part of the series, Comparative Data Law, will shift the focus and tackle Data Law from a Comparative Law perspective. Different instruments, different approaches, global effects of different kinds of regulation, and possible ways forward will be discussed. The conference is currently scheduled for March 2023.
