Data Protection Laws in the Western Balkans
Let’s Talk about Adequacy!
With this series of six online panel discussions the University of Passau Faculty of Law’s Research Center for Law and Digitization (“FREDI”) will discuss Data Protection Laws in the Western Balkans countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
The aim of the panels is to identify the regional and national approaches to implementation processes – with a focus on the preparedness for adoption of an adequacy decision. The implementation process will be evaluated from different angles – by academics, by regional experts from business sectors, and by representatives of national data protection authorities. Panelists will be able to present their respective perspective – followed by a panel discussion where the wider audience can exchange opinions with the panelists.
The series of six panels will take place virtually via Zoom.
Registration is not required.
